Provides access to reports about assets assigned to employees.

Access documents reports
Provides access to reports about documents in the company.
Access emergency contacts
Provides access to view emergency contacts of an individual employee, both in their profile and the Emergency contacts report. You can set this to just view or be able to edit emergency contacts.
📎NOTE: This is only possible to view if Emergency contacts is enabled within global permissions.
📎NOTE: Only becomes active with the Core HR module, Sage HR Essentials or Basic HR.
Access employee data reports
Provides access to employee data reports.
Access employee information
Grants access to employee profiles.
⚠CAUTION: Take care when you add or change the Access employee information permission, especially for the default Employee role.
If you set this permission to anything other than Myself, users in that role can view or edit other employees’ details.
The level of access depends on the option you select:
Anyone allows users to view all employees
Anyone (edit) allows users to edit all employee records
If you allow edit access for Anyone, users can also change other employees’ access levels. For example, they can change a user from Employee to Administrator.

Provides access to create, edit and delete custom fields, and assign them to other employees. This doesn't allow the user to edit the custom field itself in the employee's profile, only the custom field in settings.

Provides access to document settings.

Configure Org chart
Provides access to view and edit the org chart via settings and the Company page. This doesn't give access to view or edit employee profiles.
📎NOTE: You can only set this permission to Anyone. This means a user sees everyone in the Org chart. If there are employees you don't want others to see, delete the permission from their role, and don't assign them to a role with that has this permission.

Provides access to create, edit and delete teams, team settings, team members and team managers.

Provides access to edit sensitive information, which includes Race/Ethnicity, Gender/Sex, and Gender identity (US only) fields.
📎NOTE: To use this permission, a user must also be assigned to a role with the View employee sensitive information permission and Access employee information permission set to at least Edit personal information.
You must take care when amending the Access employee information permission within a role to anything other than Myself; otherwise, everyone assigned to this role may be able to access details of other employees.
Edit trainings
Provides access to edit trainings added to employees.

Give and collect assets
Provides access to give and collect assets from employees.

Manage account and subscription
Provides access to manage basic Sage HR account settings (such as changing company name, date & time format, changing logo, and others) and subscription package and billing details.
Manage assets
Provides full access to assets configuration, including inventory management and actions with assets.

Manage global roles and permissions
Provides access to configure all permissions and manage roles in your Sage HR company.
Manage onboarding and offboarding tasks for employees
Provides access to edit, create, or delete onboarding tasks.
📎NOTE: Removing this permission does not prevent people from being assigned onboarding tasks or completing tasks assigned to them.
📎NOTE: Only becomes active with the Core HR module, Sage HR Essentials or Basic HR.
Manage recipes
Provides access to manage and configure Recipes, including creating and editing recipes, setting new conditions, recipients and browsing history.
Manage security & integrations
Provides access to manage Sage HR security settings and integration parameters such as API access, Slack integration, SAML SSO parameters, automatic log out and others.
⚠CAUTION: Withdrawing this permission from a user with activated API access will invalidate API token and the API might stop working for your account.
Manage terminated employees
Provides access to the list of terminated employees and allows editing, deleting and re-hiring the terminated employees.
📎NOTE: Re-hiring option is only available for Sage HR companies not integrated with Sage payroll software.
Mass editing
Provides access to the Mass editing feature to perform batch changes to employee records. A user assigned to a role with this permission will be able to view and mass-edit all fields of all employees.
Publish and edit announcements
Provides access to publish new and edit existing Announcements.

Remove trainings
Provides access to remove trainings added to employees.
📎NOTE: To use this permission a user must also be assigned to a role with View trainings permission.

Provides access to send tasks to other employees.

View and react to announcements
Provides access to the Announcements feed in Sage HR, as well as post comments and react to posts.

Provides access to manage payment types for expenses.

Payout expenses
Provides access to pay out expenses.
📎NOTE: Instead of adding this permission to a role, we recommend controlling who handles expenses payouts in Expenses general settings and assign this function to either expense group managers or expense administrators.
Submit expenses
Provides access to submit expenses either for yourself or for other employees.
View expense
Provides access to view the expenses of other employees.
Permissions for other HR modules
There are no role permissions for the Timesheets, Shift Scheduling, Performance, and Recruitment modules. You manage permissions for these other HR modules within their own settings. For example, you manage Timesheet permissions within your Timesheets settings.
