When an employee is assigned to a time off policy, depending on your permissions you can add time off for them. For example, to record annual leave or to record sickness for one of your employees.
For steps on how to request time off for another employee just follow the steps below.
📎NOTE: You can only process time off for another employee in Sage HR if:
Your company uses the Leave Management module
The employee is assigned to at least one time off policy
You have permission to add time off for someone else
📌TIP: You can also request time off for multiple employees at the same time, rather than one by one.
Request employee time off
Click Quick actions in the top right, then click New time off.
Select the relevant employee. You are selected by default.
If you can't find the employee listed then it is because they aren't assigned to any time off policy.
Select the appropriate time off policy. For example, if you want to log a sick day for an employee, you would select Sick Leave.
📎NOTE: Only time off policies an employee has been assigned to are shown in this dropdown. If you're not a team manager or admin, you only see time off policies that employees can request time off for themselves.
Fill out the date(s) of the time off.
If required, enter any details.
📎NOTE: This option only shows if enabled in the Additional fields section of the time off policy settings.
If required, select a replacement person.
This option appears if enabled in the Workflow section of the time off policy settings.
📌TIP: If you're booking time for more than one employee select Multiple employees before you submit. You can then select other employees also taking this same time off on the same time off policy.
When you're done, click Submit.
If the time off request needs to wait for approval, wait for the time off approver to approve it.

Click on your profile or an employee's profile, click the Time off tab on the profile menu, then click Request time off.
📎NOTE: When you request time off via an employee's profile, that employee is selected by default.
