You can assign a default area to a shift template. This means when you use a shift template to add a shift, if an employee has not been assigned their own default area, the default area from a shift template will be used instead.

Only employees with administrator and scheduling administrator access can follow these steps:

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the general settings menu click Scheduling, then click Shift templates.

  3. Click on the pencil icon next to the relevant shift template.

📎NOTE: You can also do this when add a new shift template

  4. Select an area from the Default area drop-down.

  5. Click Save.
