Create an open shift template

Create open shift templates to save you time when creating open shifts.

To help save time you can set up pre-defined open shift templates when you need to create recurring shifts, and when you plan shifts in the future.

📎NOTE: Only users with administrator and scheduling administrator access can follow these steps

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the general settings menu click Scheduling, then click Shift templates.

  3. Scroll down Open shift templates


  4. Click Add new and enter the name of the shift template.

  5. Specify the shift times, and the length of the unpaid break.


  6. If you have created an area, select an area from the Default area drop-down.

    📎NOTE: If an employee has not been assigned their own default area, the Default area in from a shift template will be used.


  7. Enter the number shift available

  8. Select the relevant Schedule groups which can use this shift template.

  9. Click Add.

📌TIP: To edit an open shift template click on the pencil icon. To delete a shift template click on the rubbish bin icon.
