Recruitment page in Sage HR

An overview of the Recruitment page in Sage HR and the options available within it.

When you subscribe to the Recruitment module, a Recruitment option is available on the main menu. When you click this option, it takes you to your Recruitment page, where you can manage your open positions, applicants, and more.

You'll see the following options.

Positions

The Positions tab shows all positions and candidate pools and is where you manage a position.

Position status uses coloured indicators:

  • Red indicates a draft position that hasn't been published

  • Yellow indicates a position published internally only

  • Green indicates a fully published position

  • White indicates a cancelled position that retains recruitment data

  • Dark grey indicates a candidate pool rather than a position

For each position, you can view:

  • Group

  • Location

  • Created date

  • Internal date

  • Number of applicants

  • Hiring team

Select a column heading to sort the list. Select a position name to manage that position.

Applicants

The Applicants tab shows all applicants across positions and is where you can manage an applicant.

Available columns include:

  • Applicant

  • Position

  • Stage

  • Source

Source values include:

  • Sourced for applicants added manually in Sage HR

  • Careers Page for applicants who applied through a careers page

  • API for applicants who applied through an integrated external source

Each applicant must belong to a position.

Use Mass editing to send or revoke consent for multiple applicants.

Use Export to download the applicant list to Microsoft Excel.

Calendar

The Calendar tab within Recruitment shows interviews and meetings scheduled with applicants.

Select an entry to view meeting details.

You can:

  • Download individual calendar events as ICS files

  • Sync recruitment events with an external calendar using an iCalendar (iCal) link

Inbox

The Inbox provides a central location for applicant email communications.

You can:

  • View emails sent to applicants

  • Send emails to applicants

  • Track recruitment communications across the hiring team

Recruitment administrators can view all correspondence.

Recruitment group administrators and hiring managers can view correspondence for positions where they're included in the hiring team.

Tasks


The Tasks tab shows recruitment tasks linked to applicants.

Hover over the right side of a task to reveal the Complete option.

Task visibility matches Inbox visibility permissions.

Requisitions

The Requisitions tab shows employee requests, request owners, and request status.

You can edit requisition details from this area.

Reports

These are reports available that you can't find in the general reports area from the main menu.

Dashboard

Shows:

  • Total positions

  • Total applicants

  • Applicant numbers by pipeline phase

You can filter results by hiring group and hiring manager.

Applicants

Shows applicant data with filter options.

Productivity

Shows recruitment activity, including:

  • Applicants sourced

  • Comments added

  • Emails sent

  • Pipeline movements

Positions

Shows position data with available filters.

Hiring velocity

Shows the average time applicants spend in each recruitment phase.

Time to fill

Shows the average number of days required to fill a position.

Select the day count to view applicant-level details.

Friend referrals

Shows applicants added with Friend referral as the source.

Hired

Shows hired applicants, application dates, start dates, and sources.

Consents

Shows consent information, including:

  • Consent status

  • Consent requests

  • Declined consent reasons

  • Consent trend charts
