You may have certain employees that you want to approve time off requests. They can do this in Sage HR if they are a time off approver.
As an admin, click your name in the top right, then click Settings.
On the settings menu click Time off, then click Time off approvers.
Time off approver options
In your time off approvers settings is a list of all your employees and their time off approvers. The time off approvers show options in two columns:
Admins
By default everyone has Admins set to Yes. This means that all administrator-level users will receive time off request approvals from an employee. You can edit the employee to have Admins set to No.
📎NOTE: Administrators, even if they aren't approvers, are still able to edit requests.
Direct manager
By default, Direct managers are set to No.
Direct managers are based on who is set as a direct manager in an employee's profile. You can edit the employee to have Direct manager set to Yes.
Edit an employee's time off approver
Set up who you want to approve time off for specific employees.

You can change a time off approver for a single employee.
Under Actions, click on the pencil icon on the relevant employee.
Select whether you want the time off approver to be an Admin, direct manager, or both.
📌TIP: You can also set it so an employee doesn't need approval to take time off.
Click Save.

You can amend time off approvers for multiple employees at the same time.
📎NOTE: This applies the same changes to all those employees.
For example, you select multiple employees to have their time off approver be their direct manager, but not an administrator.
Reminders of time off requests
You can set up email reminders to approvers who have time off requests that still need to be actioned.
