Manage termination reasons

How to edit, move or create new reasons in Sage HR when terminating an employee.

When you terminate an employee, you select a termination reason, such as a new job.

You can’t add or edit termination reasons. Some countries require fixed reasons, so currently Sage HR is restricting changes.

Any reasons you previously added or edited remain available.


Change the order of termination reasons

The list order controls how reasons appear when you terminate an employee.

  1. Click and hold the arrows next to a reason.

  2. Drag the reason up or down.

  3. Release it when you're happy with the position.
