All employees are assigned to your default working pattern. If you have created another working pattern, any employee you want to use that working pattern needs to be assigned to it.
Click on your name on the top right, then click Settings.
On the settings menu click Employee data.
Click Employment statuses & Working patterns.
Scroll down to Working patterns.
On a working pattern, click Actions, then click Assign employees.
📎NOTE: The original default working pattern doesn't have an 'Assign employees' option. To assign an employee to this working pattern you need to unassign them from the other working pattern they're currently assigned to. Once they're unassigned they automatically assign to your original working pattern.
Select the employee(s) you want to assign to this group. Deselect any employees you don't want assigned to this working pattern who will then get assigned to your default working pattern.
📌TIP: You can search for them or use the advanced search to filter down to employees of a certain Team, Position and/or Location.
Once selected click Save.
How does this affect Leave Management if I use working patterns for time off?
If it is a labour-based policy, when you unassign an employee from one working pattern and assign them to another, the employee's allowance is pro-rated considering the working days and hours from the beginning of the policy period to the end.
If it is a non-labour-based policy, nothing happens to the allowance when you unassign an employee from one working pattern and assign them to another. However it will affect how many hours are used when the employee books leave.
Time off requests made by the employee are also automatically reviewed to discount their amount of time off based on the working pattern timeline.
