Once you have a working pattern, any employee you want to have using that working pattern needs to be assigned to it.

📌TIP: If a relevant working pattern doesn't exist for an employee, you can create a new working pattern.

  1. Click on your name on the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the settings menu click Employee data.

  3. Click Employment statuses & Working patterns, then click Working patterns.

  4. Scroll down to Working patterns.

  5. On a working pattern, click Actions, then click Assign employees.

  6. Select the employee(s) you want to assign to this group. Deselect any you don't want assigned to this working pattern. You can search for them or use the advanced search to filter down to employees of a certain Team, Position and/or Location .

  7. Once selected click Save.

📌TIP: Once you've created your working patterns, if you want them to be used for timesheets, make sure you select pre-fill using working patterns in your timesheet general settings.

How does this affect Leave Management if I use working patterns for time off?

If you've created a time off policy based on a working pattern, when you unassign an employee from one working pattern and assign them to another, the employee's allowance is pro-rated considering the working days and hours from the beginning of the policy period to the end.

Time off requests made by the employee are also automatically reviewed to discount their amount of time off based on the working pattern timeline.

📎NOTE: If you have moved an employee between working patterns several times in the same day, only the last change is considered by the system.
