Sage HR lets you import ready‑made settings and time off policies for specific countries, regions, or industries.
This helps you set up compliant policies quickly without creating them manually.
What you need
Admin access to your Sage HR company
Leave management module enabled
Start the import
Select your name in the top‑right corner.
Select Settings.
Select General.
Select Import country settings next to the relevant country.
Sage HR opens the import flow.
Complete the import flow
The import includes several steps.
1. Select a country
Choose a country, region, city, or industry from the list.
📎NOTE: If you can’t find what you need, contact Sage HR Support.
2. Select general settings
Tick the settings you want to import. Only selected items will apply to your account.
3. Choose public holiday groups
Select the holiday groups that you want Sage HR to configure. You can manage these in Settings, then Calendar, then Public holiday groups.
4. Choose holidays to import
Select which public holidays you want Sage HR to add to the chosen groups.
5. Select time off policies
Choose which time off policies to import.
📎NOTE: After the import, Sage HR doesn’t assign any employees to these policies automatically.

After importing, assign employees manually to the time off policy.
