If you need to change an employee's email address, you can do this, but your steps may vary depending on whether your Sage HR company integrates with Sage payroll software or not.

Sage HR - No payroll integration

If your Sage HR company has no integration with any Sage payroll software, below is a quick overview of how to change an employee's email address.

Change their email address within their profile. The employee is then sent an email to the original email address with instructions on how to approve and complete this email address change.

📎NOTE: If the employee doesn't have access to the original email address to action this change, terminate and delete the original profile. You can then re-add them with the new email address.

Sage HR integrated with Sage 50 Payroll (UK only)

If your Sage HR company is integrated with Sage 50 Payroll, below is a quick overview of how to change an employee's email address.

Terminate the employee in Sage HR.
Delete the employee from the terminated employee report.
If they have a Sage 50 Payroll record, change the email address within the analysis tab of their payroll record.
Re-add the employee with their new email address. You can re-add them by uploading their payslips.

📎NOTE: We recommend to upload a current payslip, not a historical payslip. If you don't have a current payslip to upload you can wait until the next pay run or upload a 'dummy payslip'.
