Set up time off approvers for a time off policy

Set time off approvers for specific time off policy.

While all time off policies have a default set of time off approvers, it's possible to set ot so that time off requests from a specific time off policy are sent to someone else. This doesn't override existing time off approvers - they'll also receive these requests at the same time.

Employees you select will receive emails and see these time off requests in their dashboard; however, they're not able to access employee profiles or any time off reports.

📎NOTE: The setting to select a time off approver for a time off policy isn't available if you use Sage HR Essentials or Basic HR.

  1. Click on your name on the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the settings menu, click Time off, then click Policies.

  3. On the relevant time off policy, click on the Settings button.

  4. Scroll down and click on the Workflow section.

  5. Select Enable specific approvers for this policy.​

  6. Click on the space underneath, then select the specific employees.

    📌TIP: You can select multiple approvers - all will receive the same time off request.​

  7. Scroll down to the bottom then click Save.
