The employee’s email controls their Sage HR login.
How you update it depends on whether:
They've created a Sage account already
Whether they can log in to account.sso.sage.com
Whether their new email address already exists as a Sage account
Update the email address
Open the employee profile.
Click the Employee tab.
Select Change email address under Work email.
If the employee hasn’t activated their login
The employee sets up their login using the new email invitation.
If the employee has a Sage account
You can’t change the email in Sage HR
Select Send instructions via email or share the Change your Sage account email address article with them
If the employee can’t access their current email
Send them the email change instructions manually
They don’t need access to the old email unless they forgot their password
If they can’t log in to account.sso.sage.com, or the new email already exists as a Sage account, contact Sage support for help
Important information
The Sage account update also changes the email in all other Sage HR companies or Sage products that they use that email address for.
