If you have an employee assigned to a specific employment status, but they soon need to change to a new one e.g. going from full-time to part-time, to avoid having to assign them to another employment status manually you can schedule this change to happen automatically.

This ensures their employment status is accurate at all times, and doesn't have to be amended retrospectively.

We'll show you how to do this in the steps below.

  1. Go to the employee's profile.

  2. Scroll down to Employment status. Here you see their current assigned employment status.

  3. Click Schedule employment status change.

  4. Select the start date of the new employment status.

  5. Under change value, select the new employment status the employee is changing to.

  6. Click Save.

The employee will amend to this employment status on the date selected.

You will also see this upcoming change noted on their profile.

What if I need to change the schedule employment status?

If there is a change in plan, such the employee will no longer be changing to this employment status, or the wrong date was selected, you can easily resolve this.

  1. Under Employment status in their profile, click All employment status changes.

    Their employment status history appears.

  2. You can edit and/or delete a scheduled employment status change.
