Before you give your employees access to log in, you should check your employee permissions. This is because you may want to ensure their details are hidden from other standard employee users.
📎NOTE: Sage HR Online Services (UK only) - When it comes to payslips, only admins can view other employees' payslips.
The following permissions/settings can determine whether a standard employee user can see another employee, and if they can, what details of that employee they have access to.

Hide all employee details from another employee
If the Access employee information permission for the role of 'Employee' is set to only Myself, then employee users can't see another employee's details. If they have access to see other employees on the company directory or access to the org chart, they would only see another employee's name.
📌TIP: This setting is found via Settings > Permissions > Permissions.
📎NOTE: Don't delete this permission from the role of 'Employee' otherwise employees won't be able to access the Employee or Personal information in their own profile.

Hide employee email addresses from other employees
The best way to hide employee email addresses from other employees is to prevent employee access to other employees' profiles.
If the Access employee information permission for the role of 'Employee' is set to only Myself, then an employee can't see another employee's email address or any other details.
📌TIP: This setting is found via Settings > Permissions > Permissions.
If you do allow an employee to access employee information of other employees, you can set this to View info cards.
An email address only appears on an employee info card if Allow employees to see email addresses is selected.

If you don't want employees to see who else is in Sage HR, this is controlled by two permissions for the role of 'Employee' permissions.

View company directory
View Org Chart (Available only with the Core HR module)
Hide company directory
The company directory is just a list of employees in Sage HR.
To hide the company directory from the role of 'Employee', click the rubbish bin icon next to the View company Directory permission if it is listed.
📌TIP: If you're fine with employees being able to see some other employees, you can configure it so that only certain employees appear in the Company directory. For example, you may be fine with employees being able to see employees who are on their own team.
Hide Org Chart
The Org chart provides a visual of your company structure.
If you have the Core HR module, to hide the Org chart from the role of 'Employee', click the rubbish bin icon next to the View Org chart permission if it is listed.
📌TIP: If you want your employee permissions to be as strict as possible, you should either delete the relevant permission from the role of 'Employee' or set it to 'Myself'.
Also, make sure the employee isn't assigned to a role that has permissions you don't want them to have access to.
