Before you give your employees access to log in to, we recommend you check your employee permissions in case you want to set up your settings so that employee users can't see other employees' information.
In Employee permissions you can control what employees have access to in Sage HR, including which employees they can see, what they can edit on their profile, as well as other settings if you subscribe to the Sage HR modules such as Core HR and Leave Management.
We'll run you through how to get to these settings, and if required what to do if you don't want employees to see the information of other employees.
πNOTE: When it comes to payslips, don't worry, only admins can view other employees' payslips in Sage HR Online Services (UK only).
Log in as an admin.
Click your email address or name in the top right-hand corner, then click Settings.
On the General menu, click Permissions, then click Employees.
There are four settings that determine being able to see other employees and their details:

Prevent being able to able to view email addresses
It is possible for an employee to see another employee's email address if they click on them, and have access to view their Employee Info Card.
πNOTE: Employee Info Cards can be accessed via the Company Directory (and/or Org Chart if you use the Core HR module).
If you want employees to never be able to see what another employee's email address is, in Employee permissions select Don't allow employees to see email addresses, then click Save.
An employee user now can't see someone else's email address, even if they can view their Employee Info Card.
πNOTE: This setting doesn't apply to admins, direct managers and team managers.
Prevent employees being able to see any employees' details
If you allow employees to be able to see other employees, when they click on another employee their Employee Info Card appears showing some details.
πNOTE: The setting Don't allow employees to see email addresses determines whether email addresses show on this card.
If you don't want this info card to appear, in Employee permissions make sure the setting Enable access to Employee Info Card in Directory, then click Save.
Now when an employee user clicks on another employee in the Directory (or Org chart of they have access to that) nothing will happen or show.
Prevent employees being able to see other employees
In Employee permissions, the first three settings determine what other employees and an employee user can see in the company directory.
These three settings are:
Employees can see all other employees
Employees assigned to a team can see all other employees from their team in the Company page
Employees can see only their own information
If you don't want employees to be able to see other employees, select Employees can see only their own information, then click Save.
This means employees won't see other employees on the Company Directory.
Use the Core HR module?
If you use Core HR, even if you select Employees can see only their own information, this only affects the Company directory, and doesn't affect employees being able to see other employees in the Org chart.
If you have the Core HR module, make sure Allow access to Org charts is not selected, then click Save.
Make employee permissions as strict as possible
If you want your employee permissions to be as strict as possible, you should apply the following settings.
