Update employee details in Sage HR from the employee profile. Your permissions and payroll integration control which fields you can edit.


Edit an employee profile

  1. Search for the employee or open them from Company.

  2. Select a profile tab, such as Employee or Personal.

  3. Update or add the required information.

  4. Scroll down and click Save.

📌TIP: You can use an import template to update employee information depending on your payroll setup.


Important information

General

  • Permissions or integration settings may restrict some fields

Sage 50 Payroll UK integration

  • Sage 50 Payroll updates some fields when you upload payslips

  • You can import changes into Sage 50 Payroll

  • You must edit the employee’s name, email, and start date in Sage 50 Payroll

Sage 50 Payroll IE integration

  • You can update some details in Sage 50 Payroll

  • You must follow a specific process to update the email address

Sage Payroll UK integration

  • Changes you make in Sage HR sync automatically with Sage Payroll

  • You can only edit the email address in Sage Payroll

  • You can only edit the emergency contact field in Sage HR
