Edit an employee profile

How to amend or add information on an employee's Sage HR profile.

You can edit or add employee information in Sage HR from within their employee profile.

📌TIP: Depending on your payroll integration, you can also update employee information using an import template.

To get to an employee's profile:

  1. Either search for the employee, or browse to them via Company on the main menu.

  2. Click on the relevant tab on the profile menu, such as Employee or Personal etc.

  3. Add any additional information or edit current details as required.

    📎NOTE: If there are details you can't amend, this can be due to permissions or integration with Sage payroll software.

  4. Once finished, scroll down to the bottom and click Save.

📎NOTE for Sage 50 Payroll UK integration

  • There are several employee details that update automatically in Sage HR when you amend them in Sage 50 Payroll and then upload payslips

  • Changes you make in Sage, you can import into Sage 50 Payroll

  • You can't amend an employee's name, email address, and start date from within Sage HR. This must be done in Sage 50 Payroll
