Resend a welcome email

How to resend a welcome invite to employees so they can access Sage HR.

A welcome email notifies an employee that you've added them to your Sage HR company. It's also required to create a Sage account to log in to your Sage HR company if they don't have one already.

📎NOTE: An employee might have used the same email to create a Sage account while working for a different company that used Sage HR or Sage Employee Online Services.

If you chose not to send a welcome email when you initially created the employee's profile in Sage HR, or their welcome email has expired, you can resend this welcome email.


Option to resend a welcome email

You can either send a welcome email to an individual employee or to multiple employees at once.

Resend to an individual employee

  1. Log in to Sage HR as an admin user.

  2. From the main menu, click Company then click the relevant employee profile.

  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Personal settings.

  4. Click Resend welcome email.

  5. Click Save.

Resend to multiple employees

  1. On the main menu, click Reports.

  2. Click Access logs.

    You'll see a few widgets showing your company login statistics.

  3. Click Re-send welcome email inside the Never logged in widget.



  4. A popup window opens. To invite everyone in one go, click Send welcome email to all.

    Alternatively, you can send invites to individual employees. Click the Send button next to their name.


Next steps

When your employee receives the welcome email, if they don't already have one, they create a Sage account using the link in their welcome email. They won't be able to log in until they do this. If they do already have one they can log in using their previous login details, or reset their password if they've forgotten it.

📎NOTE: If you have G Suite or other Single Sign On integration with Sage HR, then no password will be asked.
