You can change a time off allowance by updating a policy, moving an employee to a different policy, or setting an individual allowance.
Change the allowance in the time off policy
Edit the allowance in the time off policy when you want to update the allowance for every employee assigned to that policy.
This change applies to all employees linked to the policy.
Assign the employee to a different time off policy
Move the employee to another time off policy if that policy already has the allowance you need.
The employee's allowance updates to match the new policy. Other employees remain unaffected.
Use this option when the employee should have the same allowance as others on an existing policy.
Set an individual allowance
Set an individual allowance when one employee needs a different allowance from the rest of the employees on their policy.
An individual allowance overrides the allowance in the assigned time off policy for that employee only.
For example, if a policy provides 20 days of leave and an employee is entitled to 25 days, you can set an individual allowance of 25 days for that employee. The policy and other employees remain unchanged.
For steps, see Set individual time off allowances.
