How to allow or prevent users from viewing 'sensitive information' fields in a profile.

Two permissions affect the race, gender and sex fields appearing in an employee profile.

  • View employee sensitive information

  • Edit employee sensitive information

'View employee sensitive information' and 'Edit employee sensitive information' permissions.

If you want a user to be able to view or edit either their own or another employee's race, gender and sex fields, they must be assigned to a role that has these permissions. You then set who it applies to. For example, Myself if you want them to be able to view or edit their own sensitive data field.
