How to resolve this error when trying to activate a recipe.

When you try to activate a recipe, you see the following error:

Recipe not activated

This recipe cannot be activated. You must use 1 email address to activate this recipe.

This occurs if you have set up a recipe to send an email to a specific email address, and entered more than one email address. You can only set a recipe to send an email to one email address.

  1. Edit the recipe remove the additional email addresses, then you can save the recipe and activate it.

If you need a recipe to email multiple people, if they exist as employees, you can select them rather than enter an email address. For example, add a specific employee.

If you need to add an external email address that doesn't exist under a user's Sage HR profile, you can duplicate the existing recipe. You can then amend the email address in the duplicated recipe.
