EMP501 Submission - Sage Payroll and HR (ZA)

When your employee and company details are ready to submit, you can generate electronic certificates in Sage Payroll (South Africa only).

  1. Click on Submissions then Create tax submission

    Step 1:
    Company tax detail
    Your company tax details will populate and you’ll be able to edit these details should you wish to make changes. Click Next if the information is in order.
    Step 2: Submission detail
    Step 3: Contact person detail
    Ensure the SARS contact person detail is completed

  2. Click on Create file & reports

  3. The system will now generate the file and reports relating to your Mid-year/ Year End submission.
    This may take a few minutes. You may continue with your work by clicking on Continue

  4. Once done, the tax submission file will be ready to download

  5. Click on Go to tax submission
    This will give you an overview of the created tax submission

  6. You will now be able to
    - View, share, and print tax certificates
    - View and download reports and
    - download the tax submission file for importing onto SARS e@syfile
