Add King's coronation as a public holiday

How to add His Majesty King Charles III's coronation as an additional bank holiday in Sage HR.

The bank holiday will fall on Monday 8 May 2023, following the Coronation on Saturday 6 May.

Below we show you how to add this additional public holiday to your Sage HR calendar.

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the settings menu click Calendar, then click Public holidays.

  3. Click Add public holiday.


  4. Select the date of the coronation - 08/05/2023.


  5. Leave clear, Repeat every year.

  6. Give the public holiday a name, for example, 'King Charles III's coronation' etc.

  7. Select how you want an employee's time off allowance to be affected by this public holiday.

    If you don't want your employee's time off allowance to be affected by this, select Do not count against employee allowance.


  8. Select which holiday groups you want this public holiday to show for.

  9. Click Save.

This will now shows as a public holiday on your Sage HR Calendar.
