Add Platinum Jubilee bank holiday to your Sage HR calendar

How to add the Queen's Platinum Jubilee bank holiday as a public holiday in your calendar (UK only).

In the UK, to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year there will be a one off four day UK bank holiday weekend from Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th June 2022.

As a result The Spring Bank Holiday, which is usually held on the last Monday of May, has been moved to Thursday 2 June. This is then followed by an extra bank holiday on Friday 3 June.

If you haven't already added this public holiday to your calendar, you can do so now. Use our UK holidays import which includes this Platinum Jubilee bank holiday dates in it.

We'll show you how to do this in the steps below:

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the settings menu click Calendar, then click Public holidays.

  3. Click Import.

  4. Select UK (England & Wales).

  5. Select your relevant Public holiday groups.
    ​

  6. If you scroll down you will see the moved Spring Bank Holiday and the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday listed.

    If you only want to import these two dates, make sure only these dates are selected.
    ​

  7. Click Import.

  8. You may be informed that some dates already have a custom event added.
    ​
    Select one of the following to resolve any duplicate public holidays:
    ​

    • Keep existing entries, do not overwrite them. Only import only those dates that are not already added

    • Overwrite existing events with new ones.
      ​

  9. After you've chosen what to with your duplicate entries, click Import.

The Platinum Jubilee bank holidays now show in your list of public holidays.

This bank holiday will also show in your Sage HR calendar.
