Starting September 9, 2021, you'll be able to use different types of methods in order to calculate Employee Engagement:

  • Score: employee engagement will be measured by comparing each question’s score against the best team’s score. The final results are presented through a 0 - 100 score.

  • 5-point Likert Scale: employee engagement will be measured by asking respondents to rate items on a level of agreement. The final results are presented in percentages on a bar chart indicating favourable, neutral, and unfavorable engagement groups (see the image below).

If you've been using or had Engagement Surveys enabled before September 9, 2021, then the method by default in your Sage HR account will be Engagement Score.

How to switch to the new 5-point Likert Scale calculations

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the settings menu click Performance, then click Surveys.

  3. Select 5-point Likert Scale.

  4. Click Save.

📎NOTE: When switching between calculations, all past and new Engagement Surveys in your account will be re-calculated with the method selected, so you'll be able to compare between new and past surveys.

You can switch back to the previous method if needed by replicating the steps above.
