Sage 50 Payroll employee export report

Export a report of your Sage HR company's employee data that you can import into Sage 50 Payroll (UK only).

If you use Sage 50 Payroll, you might need to keep the employee data up to date in that software with any changes you've made in Sage HR.

However, you can also change employee details in Sage 50 Payroll by exporting them from Sage HR, and then import them into Sage 50 Payroll instead.

The steps below run through how to generate an excel file from Sage HR with your employees' data in the required format to import into Sage 50 Payroll.

📎NOTE: Only available in a Sage HR company integrated with Sage 50 Payroll (Sage HR Online Services).


Payroll employee export report

  1. Go to Reports.

  2. Click on Employee data.

  3. Click on Payroll employee export.



  4. Choose any filters to limit the employees you want to include in the export


  5. Click on Generate.

    After a few moments a list of employees appears.


    Use the scroll bar at the bottom to scroll left and right to view other columns.

  6. To export this report as an Excel file, click Download.

You can now convert this file to CSV on your preferred software and import it into Sage 50 Payroll.
