When you upload payslips or historical payslips for the first time, your employee is sent a welcome email inviting them to start using Sage HR Online Services to view their payslips.

The welcome email expires after 24 hours and so it may be necessary to resend a welcome email to an employee if they don't set up access to Online Services within that time.

There are two ways to resend a welcome email:

Resend the welcome email to an individual employee

📎NOTE: If you have Sage HR Online Services v2, all Admin users have the ability to resend welcome emails. If you have Sage HR Online Services v1 only the original Admin profile created by Sage 50cloud Payroll at registration can resend welcome emails.   1. Log in to Sage HR Online Services as an admin user.

  2. From the main menu, click Company then click the relevant employee profile.

  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Personal settings.

  4. Click Regenerate password & re-send welcome email.

    This changes to Welcome email has been sent.

  5. Click Save.

When your employee receives the welcome email, they must follow the steps to set up access to Online Services.

📎NOTE: If they do not see emails in their inbox, request they check their spam/junk folder and also ensure their email security does not block the email address: [email protected]


Resend welcome email to multiple employees

  1. Log in to Sage HR Online Services as an admin user.

  2. On the main menu, click Reports, then click Access logs.

  3. Click Re-send welcome email in the Never logged in widget.



  4. To send a welcome email to individual employees, click Send next to their name, or to send to everyone in one go, click Send email to all.

When the employee receives the welcome email, they must follow the steps to set up access to Online Services.
