If you have schedule groups, one of the options when applying schedule group limits is to specify the number of work hours per month, for full-time employees.

If enabled, monthly work hours will be considered as a limit when creating shifts for employees. If a shift manager adds a shift to the schedule for an employee that takes them over this limit, they are made aware with a visual warning so they can decide on how to proceed with the shift schedule.

These maximum hours can either be set in the schedule groups limits settings, or can be based on the Work hours setting if enabled. The benefit of the Work hours settings is you can provide flexibility of entering hours for each month for the next three years.

If you want to base the maximum hours on work hours, follow the steps below.

Enable Work hours setting

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the settings menu click Scheduling, then click Schedule groups.

  3. On a scheduling group, click Limits.

  4. Select Limit the maximum hours in a month.

  5. Select use values from Work hours setting.

  6. Click SAVE.

Enter Work hours

  1. Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.

  2. On the settings menu click Scheduling, then click Schedule groups.

  3. On a scheduling group, click Work hours.

  4. Enter what you want the hours to be, then to confirm them click ✔️. If you click Close before you do this, it won't save what you entered for that month.

  5. Once you have confirmed the work hours for each month, click Close on the bottom right.

📌TIP: When in the Work hours settings, if you scroll down to the bottom you can view a changelog for a history of the hours you have set or amended.
