If you have schedule groups, one of the options when applying schedule group limits is to specify the number of work hours per month for full-time employees. If you enable this, the system will consider monthly work hours as a limit when creating shifts for employees.
If a shift manager adds a shift to the schedule for an employee that takes them over this limit, a warning appears so they can decide on how to proceed with the shift schedule.
You can set these maximum hours either in the schedule group's limits settings or within the Work hours setting if you've enabled it. The benefit of the Work hours settings is that you can provide flexibility in entering hours for each month for the next three years.
If you want to base the maximum hours on work hours, follow the steps below.
Enable Work hours setting
For the Work hours option to appear next to a schedule group you must first enable it within the Limits setting.
Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.
On the settings menu, click Scheduling, then click Schedule groups.
On a scheduling group, click Limits.
Select Limit the maximum hours in a month.
Select use values from Work hours setting.
Click Save.
Enter Work hours
Once you've enabled the Work hours option, you enter the work hours.
Click your name in the top right, then click Settings.
On the settings menu click Scheduling, then click Schedule groups.
On a scheduling group, click Work hours.
Enter what you want the hours to be, then to confirm them, click ✔️.
If you click Close before you do this, it won't save what you entered for that month.
Once you have confirmed the work hours for each month, click Close on the bottom right.
📌TIP: When in the Work hours settings, if you scroll down to the bottom you can view a changelog for a history of the hours you have set or amended.
