When you try to delete a working pattern, you see this error:
[Working pattern name] cannot be deleted
Some employees are eligible for time off polices based on this working pattern. You cannot delete this working pattern while they are assigned to it.
Below the message, Sage HR lists the employees assigned to the working pattern.
Why this happens
The working pattern is assigned to one or more employees
It is used as part of their time off policy setup
How to fix it
Open each listed employee
Assign them to a different working pattern
Try deleting the original working pattern again
If the employee is terminated
Delete the employee record to remove the assignment
Then delete the working pattern
If you want to keep the employee record
You cannot delete the working pattern
Rename it to show it should not be used (for example: “Do not use”)
