You send a welcome email to tell an employee you added them to your Sage HR company.
Employees use this email to create a Sage account if they don’t already have one. This lets them log in.
If an employee already has a Sage account, they don’t need the email to create one. They can log in straight away using their existing account details.
Send an invitation when adding an employee
Add a new employee to Sage HR.
Select Send employee an invitation email to Sage HR.
Save the employee record.
Send or resend a welcome email
Use this option if you didn’t send the invite earlier or added employees by import.
Open the employee profile.
Select the option to resend the welcome email.
The system sends a link that lets the employee:
Create a Sage account if they don’t have one
Sign in using an existing Sage account
Important information
Importing employees doesn’t send a welcome email. You must resend the welcome email to invite imported employees
