Error: 'This employee has already created a Sage account, so the welcome email could not be sent.'

What to do when you get this error when trying to resend a welcome email within Sage HR.

When you try to resend a welcome email from within the Personal settings of an employee's profile, you may see the following error.

This employee has already created a Sage account, so the welcome email could not be sent.

The purpose of a welcome email is to allow the employee to create their Sage account and log in to Sage HR. When they already have a Sage account. They'll get this error message, as they don't need a welcome email to be able to log in.

Direct the employee to your company's Sage HR login page, and tell them to log in with their existing Sage account details.

Employee doesn't know their Sage account password

If the employee can't remember what their existing Sage account login details are, they can use the Forgot password? option on the Sage account login screen to reset their password.
