Employee timesheets report

An overview of the Employee timesheets report in Sage HR and how you can use it to review employee timesheets.

The Employee timesheets report shows daily and total hours for employees over a selected period. You don’t need to open each timesheet individually.


Access the Employee timesheets report

  1. Select Reports.

  2. Select Timesheets.

  3. Select Employee timesheets.

  4. Select a reporting period.

  5. Select the required dates.

    📎NOTE: When you select Custom dates, the maximum date range is 60 days. If you select a longer range, Sage HR shows an error asking you to shorten it.

    'Please select shorter range'.

  6. Select the Advanced Criteria dropdown to be able to select Show only employees who have worked over a certain number of hours. You can then enter the number of hours.

  7. Select Generate.


Filter the report

You can filter the report by:

  • Timesheet group

  • Team

  • Location


What the report shows

The report displays:

  • Daily and total timesheet hours

  • Contract hours

  • Difference between worked and contract hours

  • Overtime hours

  • Approved overtime to pay out

  • Approved overtime allocated to time off

  • Timesheet status

📌TIP: Select Export to download the report as an Excel file.
